Roof Rails

We have the silver roof rails and would really like black ones. Does any one have any suggestions about where to get different ones, price, etc? Is this any easy thing to change?
Thanks for the help!

Do you consider removing or dropping the headliner an issue?

I do not know the specific F25 procedure, but other BMW models require dropping the headliner and messing with the head airbags. In addition, the job requires careful assembly to avoid water intrusion. I think many folks have decided that it just was not worth the hassle/labor expense/danger of messing something up. As you imply, if the OP is a competent mechanic with all the required tools and expertise, it could be pretty straightforward.

Thanks everyone for the help. Didn't realize it was such a labor intensive job. After reaearch about what all is involved, Not sure I want to mess with it and worried about painting them. Could invision alot of problems with that. Just think black would look so much better since our x3 is black. Ugh....bummer.

Actually I knew exactly what you meant and I agreed. I was trying to break it to the original poster as gently as possible....
