Pedalbox Stealth Install

I was planning to install
1. Mtec 4750
2. Pedal Box
3. BMS S1
this weekend. Now I am scared!
Mr. Karim, how did you manage to trigger check engine light?

Why are you guys spending $250 for a pedal box then running in Eco mode????? Are you trying to keep the car from going to fast??

I have been running Sport + on the highest (3rd) setting and love it.

Mr. Karim, why is your engine light on? I may hold off on doing this stealth install to make sure there are no other problems.

Don't be scared, I get the check engine light very often after installing Dinan Stage 5, apparently stage 5 is being aggressive on my engine so the BMW's software feels unusual with it... Nothing major.
You shouldn't get a check engine light with BMS S1 and a pedal box, I can't imagine myself driving my car without the pedalbox, it's just to amazing

Dude, you spent 20k modding your car for better performance and in every other post you are worried about fuel consumption. Makes it kinda seem like gas the only thing you go into "your" pocket for.

Over 20k including cosmetics But I like when the car is efficient in terms of Power and Fuel consumption.

Nah, it was just to show you how the clips are shaped to give you an idea of how to remove the side trims, etc. Basically, once the center wood is off, you just slide it forward (carefully).

I would have still loved an extra 3-6 inches, that would have given me some flexibility, as it is, there is JUST enough slack to comfortably route it this way.

I wouldn't worry about it, been following the BMS tunes on several boards, it's pretty solid, no indication of CEL or other failures specifically stemming from it.

Thanks, how hard is it to get that center wood trim off? I think Jersseven posted something about removing it before, but can't find it now.

Easy. Just 2 screws and the pop the thing up (around the ashtrays where there are clips).

Good point about Eco, but I am usually driving in congested traffic where its not possible to open the car up.

Eco does a great job of launching the car hard and then backing off the revs right when Sport would be launching me into the back of the car in front of me. Eco makes driving stop and go traffic more enjoyable (or less unenjoyable).

Pedalbox Stealth Install

That is my reaction as well inner ring becomes whiter a little with MTEC 4750 H8 Blue Cosmo. Outer ring remains yellow. I replaced 2 x H8. What am I doing wrong? Many people reported here that MTEC 4750 is white. I feel I just wasted $60.

Good job, but I would complete the "stealth" install by running that cable above the throttle... to be behind the carpet instead. I can picture some clumsy Valet or BMW service tech wearing boots and messing up that cable and it looks a bit off-putting.

Plus since running it this way results in pretty much no slack, I imagine that could be a bad thing if it snags on something. It only takes about 5-10 more minutes to run it behind the carpet and out of harms way.

Yeah Goren, something isn't right. Did you compare them side by side to see if the new ones were indeed whiter? I used a set of 25$ ebay ones and they were noticeably improved (whiter).

I did run it behind the carpet, that was the before pic. Here is the after....
