Driver side low beam failure

Hi all!

My driver side low beam failed.
It originally happened September 2012, I simply replaced the bulb, and it was fine.
Then the bmw sent out the recall letter on March 2013 for the vehicle power supply system, the connection between the positive battery cable and the fuse box can wear over time. They said, if the wear is excessive, it can break in the electrical connection.

I took care of this, they replaced the positive battery cable connector with an improved version on March of this year.

Then again, my driver side low beam failed again. It's funny at it's only the driver side, not the passenger side. I took it to the non dealer shop to take a look, they found burnt bulb with a little smoke coming out around the area. They said, it could be the electrical problem, they are not sure.

What's wrong with my car, experts? I'm thinking, the battery cable is sending too much power just to my driver side low beam that it caused it to burn. I am planning to make an appointment with a dealer, but I better know briefly what's going on myself before I go talk to them. =)

Thank you so much in advance!

The battery cable recall and your issue have a slim chance of being related.

My bet is that one of the seals on the driver's side headlight are not correctly working and letting moisture into the housing.

Thank you for the reply.
I'm don't really know much about car, so I don't really understand what you exactly mean, sorry.
But if it's not an electrical problem, it shouldn't cost too much to fix, right?
What should I do then? Go to dealer? Body shop? Or shops that takes care of electrical problem?

Thanks again! =)

Have a mechanic pull the headlight. It requires removing the from bumper.

Then have all the seals taken out, cleaned and heated a bit before re installing.
