M5 vs M6

I was just thinking today about the two cars that are going to be coming out... the M5 seems to be getting a lot more attention than the M6. But I was just wondering, which one would be a better performing car. I read somewhere that the M6 will have the same V10 as the M5 and there might be an M6 CSL coming as well

I have no idea about the weights of the two cars and all, but just wondering which one would be faster on a track. IN the end, it's not like I'll ever have the money to buy either of those cars anyway.

there are a lots of high performance coupes and gt cars out there and so it's a tougher field but there are fewer high performance sedans.

Funny, I think I came across one reading that said the M6 was going to be in the 550hp neighborhood.

I beleive that the M6 wil have the same power as the M5,but the CSL will be lighter with about 50 more hp. No standard shift will be available,sadly. Just a seven speed SMG. I will probably just hang onto my 645 unless they bring in a standard shift. The regular 645 has a modestly better performance than the 545 but the steering is sharper.

I think that M6 is going to be quicker, but the M5 is better looking and obviously has more utility.

No... they both have the same power plant, and the same HP and torque. The M6 has better aero dynamics, is lighter too, lower, has stiffer shocks, and better steering. It just handles better. Thus, it accelerates faster, and turns corners alot better too.
