Advice on New X3
I originally posted this in New Intro, but after 100 views and not a single response I am copying it here for thoughts/ideas.
I bought a CPO 2010 X5 last Feb for my wife-she loves it. It has been a great addition. I drive a 2011 Nissan Armada and spend a lot of time in the car on business trips within 4-5 hours of Detroit-mostly trips to Ohio. I average about 15k miles per year, sometimes more sometimes less and have the ability to rent a car for business travel if needed.
I have some negative in my Nissan (owe 28k, and have a couple of trade offers at $24k), and looking to get a new BMW. It appears I could be in decent shape to trade my truck and get a new x3 because of the deals I am seeing on the forum.
Here are my options as I think about it:
#1-keep the nissan and drive the crap out of it (not my preference)
#2-Sell the Nissan retail myself which I have never done before
#3-Trade it, and get an 2014 x3, would like to keep the cash out of pocket as low as possible while keeping a payment less than $500.
It seems like there are some good deals on the X3 and should get better once the 15 start hitting the dealers. It looks like I could wash my negative, and only put down a couple $2k and possibly get to a sub $500 payment. That would be ideal. I want Cold Weather, Nav, and a 35i would be ideal. So much time on the highway I want to have enough power to get out of trouble if needed. My wife x5 is a little slow with passing power, cruising speed is good.
Any ideas/thoughts welcome.
