You may be surprised to know that JB4 increases mileage.

Get it from Terry
, an excellent fellow who responds right now to requests....you'll need that 335i....

Love Oxnard/Ventura area, but finding a good restaurant's a challenge. Other'n The Watermark, what do you recommend?

I hate that stupid MPG gauge. I would love to replace it with a coolant temp gauge or maybe an oil temp gauge.

I leave mine blanked out. When fuel gauge hits 1/4 I get gas.

There is a placed called Kampai that serves oriental food and cooks infront of you or an Italian place called Dominic's.

My 330 literally tells you 300 mpg to empty and I can get it back to 320 maybe more

I used to halfheartedly monitor my fuel consumption until I got my PE. For grins I figured out that is costs me $2.00 per week to enjoy the lovely sound it makes. Do you think I really care about mpgs?

Don't have a MPG gauge but I am surprised what this car achieved on a return trip up to my favourite mountain last Sunday.
Scored 7.3L per 100km (equates to 32.22 mpg) that included 50% freeway and 50% on crappy country /mountain single lane roads and 3 very brisk overtaking manoeuvrers…..and that was without even trying!

I suppose BMW put the MPG gauge there to "teach us" how to conserve gas. It's a quite distracting gauge if you're a mileage freak. Watch the road instead!

The other fuel-related dash indicator: "Miles remaining," is perhaps more useful, but only now did I notice in the E90 Owner's manual that BMW recommends that it never go below 30 miles remaining or "engine damage" could result.

Well, too late now. Geesh, I often let it go to 15 miles or so.

I find I get better mileage on fast country roads as compared to highway. Half of my 5 hour drive is country roads and the other half is highway.

Vermont has plenty of country roads where the speed limit is 50mph but most (although not enough) drive 60 to 65 mph. Few slow speeds zones down to 40 mph and a few high speed overtakes but I too see anywhere from 28 to 32 mpg driving in 5th gear (manual transmission) the entire way. When I get on the highway, drops a couple mpg but then my speed increases about 10 mph.

Well like I said, I sometimes enjoy. The fact a 335 has twin turbo saddens me.
