Like many others around here I'm rounding 35k miles on my 2012 Msport F25 X3 and trying to plan for whether to extend warranty or maintenance. The warranty extensions I've seen give you bigger discounts for the sooner you buy them so the rush is on to figure out what to do.
Regarding maintenance. I currently have changed oil on all of my previous and current vehicles except my X3. (2003 330i, 2003 Jetta GLI, 2006 MazdaSpeed3, 2012 Golf TDI, 2012 Kia Sorento [the wife's- don't judge]) so I'm no stranger to changing oil, filters and simple stuff.
I've seen some write-ups about the brakes and am not sure I'm confident enough to pull that off on my own and suspect I'll need someone to do it for me. Do you all agree it's probably best to spend the ~$2000 on maintenance extension because sometime between 50-100k I'll need a brake job (~$1500) anyway?
What else am I looking at doing every 15k miles aside from oil/filters?
