One more reason to not do the upgrade to iOS 7. Unfortunately, Apple is not downgrading iPhones to iOS 6. You may be out of luck.

Liken' iOS 7 - if there's a problem: too many options now. And that it doesn't connect to iDrive, just like past iOS upgrades.

iOS 6.1.4 connects to iDrive for calls and transferring phone book. Messaging is another matter. Ironically, BBOS v. 7 did the full messaging 'thang (SMS + e-mails) with iDrive on the E9Xs. Just no ecosystem. And now BB/RIM is on the way to being no more.

See that's the issue I have with nav and other tech options. They just don't stand the test of time. My in laws got an MDX years ago when they were new with the nav option and 10 years later the nav looks and acts so dated they don't even bother with it anymore.

So here we are now with the Bluetooth option not even working with an update to iOS that should have happened a year ago IMO.

Its almost as if my non-premium e92 sport w/ manual just makes more and more sense as time marches on.

My iOS 7.0.2/iPhone 5 links up fine on my '09 328i E93 with iDrive. Bluetooth works perfectly and the address book transfers each time without issue.

IOS 7 Not Supported with 2009 335?

Come to think of it, when I paired my iPhone 5s for the first time I had to give permission to share my contact data with the car... Did you/your phone inadvertently say no?

Ok, here's my 2 cents on this. I have a 2009 328i Sport Wagon with all options except X Drive. I also have an iPhone5 that I recently upgraded the op system. Today I was driving and needed to make a phone call. Until today I have not had any issues with the phone. However, today the screen [on the car] said pairing complete and then it could not load the info from my phone. I called 1 800 my apple and spoke with the tech and as we went through the settings on my phone we discovered that the "blue tooth" switch was set for "off". It must have changed when I upgraded to system 7. I changed the setting to "on" and then went to the car and now it works. YEA !!!!

I know for a fact that when I upgraded to IOS7 Bluetooth was then turned off. I noticed and turned it back on before I even went to my car. No issues.
