2010 335xi Starting issues

This is my first post so forgive me if I am posting an issue previously brought up.

I recently bought a CPO 2010 335xi. I bought it with 20,000K on it and all is well with the car except it has random starting issues. About twice a day, it takes anywhere between 5-10 seconds to finally turn over. I put high test fuel in the car and the amount in the tank doesn't seem to matter so I don't think it's a fuel issue. I took it in, and BMW says there is absolutely nothing wrong with the vic and its in incredible shape.

Does anyone know what may be causing these starting issues? Do I need to give it some gas when starting it? Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks in advance

Long cranks can sometimes be a hint that the High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) is about to go. Did the dealership specifically rule out the HPFP?

+1 on looking at the HPFP.

Ask the dealer if it was covered under the HPFP recall and if the recall was performed.

Thanks guys,

They did mention that the HPFP checked out at the time I brought it in, but I will give them another call this week to follow up on the recall question.
