Tell you what, I can help via the forum if you paypal me $600, still half what the dealer wants!

I don't know how in the world you would get that unstuck? I assume you have sat in the passenger seat and given it a good shoulder push while holding the open latch? It would seem very difficult to get the interior panel off with the door closed.

You could try the pop-a-lock folks to see if maybe they can use a slimjim to manually yank the latch. Seems it would have to be stuck?

Tricky one!

Try sprying some lubricant in the latch area with something like this:
http://www.rastashop.es/images/wd-40_big.jpg

And leave it alone for a couple of hours to see if it helps. Cover the leather trim to avoid damage.

Avoid agressive testing to prevent damage to the door structure.

Other ideas can be found on youtube searching for "bmw door stuck".

Go Dukes of Hazard on it and just weld the drivers door shut too. Then teach your girl how to slide on the hood and jump in the window in one solid motion wearing booty shorts. People will stare more. It's good.

No seriously, that sucks. Hope you figure something out soon.

Thats too bad Rey. I have to say that this is the first time I've seen a post on this problem on this forum or in the M6 forum. Hopefully you will have better luck from here.

Sir yes sir!

Now, I only go there for the use of free loaner over the weekend. Use it for my trip to Vegas or SF.

Go to another dealer. Try have robbed you blind.
Or make them tell you which part has failed and show you where it is excluded from the platinum warranty.

Free loaner? You could rent a Porsche and still save money. It's a bit silly to complain on the forum and then go back there. I googled this dealership of clowns. It's not just you. Find yourself a good Indy, and start enjoying your car again.

Yeah. I'm thinking of that too but then somehow I still have the warranty. It's an invisible string pulling me toward the Stealers.

If you want for a bargain 1000 I can top up your blinker fluid. Gonna have to bring it to London but that's ok. Perhaps I could do a respray for you in tartan paint?

But for this issue I'm just trying to save couple of hundreds from the Warranty than paying $700 for the Indy.

And to think that your warranty would cover it. Anyways, did they ever know what caused your door not to open?

The Indy say it's the actuator is dead.

P.S: I'm making appointment like this

This week:

Wed Crevier BMW, Fri New Century BMW

Next Week:

Mon Pacific BMW, Wed Nick Alexander BMW, Fri Century West BMW.

Hopefully one of them will not be a joke. I do have lots of hope on Pacific BMW.

P.S: I found interesting source http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...rotection.aspx

It's covered by Warranty.

That is interesting, the Door is under the Electrical Systems and says it covers the Power Door and Central Locking Systems. So I am curious to know, does this mean the Electrical Motors only, or does it include the hardware. Latches, rods, door lever, etc.? If the physical latch is crapped out and the electric lock/unlock motor is good is it covered? I know that you will say yes, but they can be sticklers on this stuff.

Passenger door can't open

Report on a trip to Crevier BMW in Santa Ana.

Took the car in, replace the actuator and they gave me a warning that the panel might be broken when they take them off and it will cost me $1,500.

Luckily the panel didnt break and the door still cant be opened. They blame on the body shop that make the door had "bad alighment". They replaced the door actuator and door latch. Ask me to bring back to the body shop and refuse to fix again.

I called the bodyshop and they told me they never took the door apart.

What a journey!

I just wrote some complain about Crevier BMW here. So annoying that it've been awhile since the last time I can open my passenger door. Sick of this thing.
