97 528I fuel pressure regulator is nowhere

I have looked on the fuelrail and around the fuel filter, but its nowhere. I dont even see a 3/2 valve either. WTH ??? Is the 97 different ??? I can't find any info that puts the fpr anywhere other than those 2 places. Any ideas?

You need to replace the hose too, the hose is a PITA to replace with the IM in place.

Good job!

Too bad you didn't replace the FPR during that time, you will feel the difference in performance and especially smooth idle once the FPR is replaced.

For 97 528 model, item #6, it's on the fuel rail.

For 98-528I it's under the car near the fuel filter.

It's all screwed up.
