2004 x5 rear control arm replacement cost

I got an estimate of $800 ($500 for BMW parts + $300 labor) from an independent repair shop to replacement the rear suspension control arms and guide rods on both sides because the control arm bushings are worn. The repair shop also recommended a 4 wheel laser alignment for $120.
Is the estimate reasonable?
Should I do the recommended wheel alignment (100500 mileage)?
Thank you!

Sounds reasonable.

I just did that work on mine. Parts were $400 and it took probably 5-6 hours (they should be faster ). So I'd say that sounds reasonable.

The alignment should be done after they replace the control arms. What they are adjusting are the control arm to subframe connections, which will be out of alignment after they replace the components. Be sure your shop adds weight to the passenger compartment prior to aligning. My dealer charges $160 for a 4 wheel alignment.
