Peak Code 19; 27: BLS/BTS Plausibility?

I just purchased one of the nice code readers from Peake Research. I got a few others but the one that stumped me was the "BLS/BTS Plausibility". I have no clue what this means and I want to fix it. Any advice?Click image for larger version

The BMW acronyms:

BLS = brake light switch

BST = battery safety terminal. I find no "BTS."

What does the Peake manual say?

19 P1529 VANOS solenoid
activation, exhaust
Output digital
pulse width (active
low)
DME final stage will set flag
whenever a short to ground, a short
to battery voltage or a disconnection
between output transistor and
component exists.

27 P1550 Idle control valve
closing coil
Output digital
pulse width (active
low)
DME final stage will set flag
whenever a short to ground, a short
to battery voltage or a disconnection
between output transistor and
component exists.

We are not generally conversant with the Peake tool. You can get a scan tool for around $100 at Harbor Freight that will report P-codes; those we understand.

Consider clearing all the codes, and see what comes back.

Hey again edjack,
Unfortunately, it didn't give me any more information than just the table and the corresponding code. I will mention that my DSC light is on, so one of the wheel speed sensors is shot, and I just put new rotors and break pads on the car.. Maybe that has something to do with it?

PS Thanks for your help with the throttle body. I just changed it yesterday, and she's running smoother than ever
