Mein Auto: 325xi sedan
Looking for Bluetooth for 325xi

I recently bought an '06 325xi. It has the controls on the wheel for Bluetooth but it does not have BT installed. I checked with the dealership and they informed me that it is prepped for it. Does anyone know where I can get whatever it is I need for less than the $532 + Installation that they're asking?

Dension gateway 500 s BT or mobridge

Dension gateway 500 s BT or mobridge for quality units
that will also have usb/ipod and bluetooth audio capability.
See Dension website. Dension also makes some less costly units
I don't know which are compatible. (see website)
There is also some cheaper stuff that works through the aux port
on the radio but does not work with the wheel controls.

Also there is a thread on bluetooth at the following link in the stickys.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27
called the Bluetooth retrofit guide.

going aftermarket makes more sense I think.

Mein Auto: 335 XI
Racerboy3,
Check on bmwcoding.com. There are several posts on there about ways to enable your bluetooth if you are prepped for it. If you have the MULF2 module in your trunk you have most of what you'd need if you want to get into coding. I bought the software/cable package, microphone and bluetooth antenna for ~$135. With several hours reading information on coding the modules, I now have bluetooth in my 2007 335XI and it works great. The dealer wanted $1700 to install.
Another good posting to review is this one: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=561237
You may need to subscribe to get all the info.
Hope this helps.

The with the 06 is will have a TCU module

The 06 is will have a TCU module if it has anything.
Which means you will need a MULF2 and some other modules to make it work and a lot
of hardware. If you have a Mulf2 you got lucky. First there was the TCU then there was Mulf
then there was Mulf 2 don't know the exact years these were changed in but tho 06 will have
TCU if anything that is what I have in my 06.
Much easier and cheaper to get Dension 500s bt .
Plus you will get a2dp.

If you want your head to spin a little there is a a upgrade thread the tell you how to put
in the modules and lists there prices.
