Love my car

Went from a 2007 GTI (loved it) and got a 2011 328xi with a MT and Nav.

I feel like the GTI was part of me and I miss that car.

However, the BMW is pretty incredible. The gearbox and clutch are silky smooth. The inline 6 motor is a dream. The brakes are way more responsive. There is never a reason to slow down for turns. The car is amazing.

The GTI had better seats and a better steering wheel, but that is where it ends.

Love my Bimmer! I will probably be a BMW owner for life. What a great car!

These cars really are better than all of the others.

I test drove a GTI a while back and that was fun to drive. Up until a week ago, I had my e92 (got totaled via Bambi) and I couldn't agree more about the gearbox - amazing. I do agree that the seats are not the best (even with sport seats) than in other cars.

A friend of mine has the Golf (I don't think it's an R) and he loves it. I rode in it once and I can see why people like the "hot hatches." The Ford Focus ST is an interesting entrant into that segment and is pretty powerful with 252HP and, my favorite part, a 6MT.
