Hey I'm buying a car in 14 months when I have saved enough money. I'm 19 now and am saving for my car I already have my mind set on a 50-55000 car I know my budget and how much I need to save. My options are either C63, M3 or a S4. Both the c63 and M3 will be both used probably 2013 models when I go to buy my car in a year and a couple months and for the audi it will be a brand new 2015 or used 2015.
I want to know what you guys think and don't be biased and say m3 ****s on everything obviously it's an amazing car but be fair. I do live in Maryland so yes the weather isn't extremely bad but it does rain/snow that's where the S4 shines but I wanna know how the others handle. Let me know what you guys think and what you guys think I should pick
Considering everyone here bought an M3, it would be hard to be unbiased. If you go on the Audi forum they'll do the same.
Test drive. Everyone's priorities for comfort and utility are different. And for what it's worth, neither the M3 or S4 are going to do well in snow without snow tires... so budget for that as well.
The S4 is Quattro so that's an upside and yes of course if would need some snow or all tires and some summer so I can switch! But if I have snow tires or all weather tires is there a difference between the RWD of the m3 and c63 compared to the S4 Quattro with the same tires?

AWDs will eat RWDs in traction, but RWDs are arguably more fun. AWD cars tend to understeer heavily. The M3 already understeers a fair amount, but you can always go to oversteer with careful application of the throttle.
If I get the m3 I heard I should just get the 2013 and not get the newer ones coming out because first off I would have to wait for a used one and the v8 will last longer NA and I really love the look better than the new m3 and m4!
Yea I read that haha even though I have some time to go before I buy my car i spend 2-3 hours at the end of the day just to look up these cars and do research on new cars coming out! I've test drove the S4 and of course it's super fast for me I had a Jetta tdi which isn't too slow but not close to the 3.7 or 4.2 in the m3! The S4 sounded amazing and I love the sound on the shifts and how effortlessly in shifts!! I want to test drive a c63 and the m3 now in the next 3 months to see how they are!! I leave for the Greek military in March and I will be there for 4 months so I won't be up to date with the new information but maybe my friends might have a m3 their!! So well see but I've heard more things about the m3 than the c63 I don't see a lot of c63s compared to M3s or s4s so idk how they are except for videos and forums!
I've had both a C63 and an M3 and while the AMG has a beastly amount of torque and a great exhaust sound, the M3 is much more fun and comfortable to drive in my opinion. The EDC suspension is so much more compliant than the AMG one in my opinion and handles rough roads better. That was one of the biggest differences I noticed.

Wow thanks that was a good bit of information!! How did they both do in rain and some snow?? And obviously the c63 is faster but did it feel like the .8 seconds faster or did it make up in handling and and more feel of sportiness? And I'm leaning to the e90-93s more than the new ones because the v8 is more reliable and sounds much more pleasurable than the new i6 TT! So well see but also that new C63 507 edition OMG looks like a black series without the gt wing and being little wider! Decisions decisions!!! But well see! Any other cars you think in this range are nice like maybe an RS5 but idk I don't like the 5 I prefer the S4. Any info on those?
Out of the three you inquired, I would get the e92 m3, and I am being unbiased. It's just much more fun to drive and the dct transmission is awesome. That's from my preference but you should test drive all of your options to find what you like best. I think the m3 looks the best and has the most presence compared the the amg and s4. Plus the E9X generation of the m3 has been rumored as BMW's last NA engine and its the end of the m3 coupe with the edition of the 4-series.
I know don't worry I'm not like other 19 year olds who their dad gets them a powerful car and they act selfish and try to show off. I am working very hard to get this car and I know later I will have bills and a house and probably a family so better to have fun somewhat now and I've been driving since 13 in Greece I love going fast but I'll save that for some of the quarter mile tracks around here ill def plasti dip and fix my car up to looks but I'll wait till the warranty is over before I fool around. That is if I don't sell it and upgrade
It's such a tough choice both cars are monsters!! I love the sound and power from the c63 and the look is pretty sick. But the m3 is just a hair behind it has nice power great handling a hidden beast to it and the back front and sides just look sexy! It will be tough! If I get a m3 in 14 months I will probably get a frozen blue or frozen red! The c63s look is nice not as nice for me as the m3 unless it's a 507 which is a bit wider and the good and sides are different. It wil be a tough decision! Even though c63 is a lot faster I don't think ill ever use all that speed even if I go to the track 10-15 times a year! And another thing I'm leaning towards the e9x because I don't think I like the look+ the i6 twinturbo compared to the v8 NA
The v8 will last much longer and I have seen videos on the new m4s and I just don't like the look right now with the f30s and the f10! The pudgy thick front end of the current m3s still look sexy! That's why I'm leaving towards m3 plus like I said I love the frozen colors! Theirs a 2012 frozen silver/grey near me for only 54k 2012 with 4700 miles it anyone is looking for it! I don't have the money now and it will be gone but it's 85 new!! So it's a steal!
Also I know the gas mileage is pretty bad but what's the average that you guys who have m3s are getting and what's the yearly maitenance usually and other costs I have enough I just want to know around an estimate.
You won't be able to afford a c63 given how quick they eat tires especially if you like driving it (you'll need performance tires and they get eaten in 3-10k). Just an observation if you're going to throw a few years of work just to get in one (now granted they're already in the 30s so if you save 50k you could throw 1k at tires every now and then if you choose).
S4 is nice again I'd rank audi last in maintenance costs and reliability of the 3 you mentioned.
M3 will be less and I put 15k miles on a set of pss tires before I noticed they started slipping a little (and this was with lots of WOT) also M3 got ranked one of the most reliable cars they make (now if you have a problem all 3 will be much more because remember even though you're paying 30-50k these cars were 80k+ with tax and will be at that level if something goes)
I was getting 18-23 going hard with dinan pulley kit and intake on the m3 and bpm tune... C63 will be worse because its a v8, and the s4 will get worse if you start modding with ecu flashes.
Also I'm not going to be modding any of these probably my second car after 2-3 years and the audi gets the best right now on average from all the sites I looked at. But that's nice the m3 gets that much mpg!
Hopefully I can get an extended warranty because with the m3 it's life saving in some cases and I feel safe knowing I have it I just want to know every how many miles to change oil I've heard anywhere from 7500-15000 and when to change the tires and other money I need to throw it not modding but some more things maybe breaks and stuff!

If you're worried about warranty, them definitely choose the M3. BMW has the best warranty out of all the luxury/sport German brands.
If you're buying a used '13, then you'll have FULL warranty until the build date in 2017 or until 50,000 miles. You can buy the extended warranty until 100K miles for like 2-3K, depending on the dealer. (Extended warranty must be bought before factory warranty runs out.)
Okay that's good hopefull in a year ill scoop up a 13 m3 and get a extended warranty unless I decide I will sell my car before 2017 I might save a little more and get the frozen like I want!
If you buy a car next year, you wont have to worry bout getting the extended warranty until at least 2016, depending on the cars in service date. The frozen is pretty cool
Yea unless I love it so much I want to keep it till 2018-19 ill def buy the extended early and this is the type of car the warranty will def be worth seeing as maintaining it is expensive! But well see what are people averaging on mpgs I hear around 16? And 200 miles on the whole tank that's bad but really not bad it will be the same as my business mini van haha!

The only extra things I'm going to get too are probably all weather/ snow tires for bad conditions and in also gonna get rims idk yet I like BBS and Vossen maybe asanti but that would be way later haha and an exhaust but that's later to after a year of having the car!
