dsc & awd malfunction 2007 328xi

About a month ago my water pump went bad in my 328. I finally got around to fixing it this weekend. Replaced it and the thermostat bled the system and went for a test drive. when pulling out of my driveway i noticed that my steering wheel was off. traveling down the road about 2 miles dash lights come on for "brake" & "4wd" as well as the warning center on the stereo. I drove back home and hooked up my Launch crp129 diagnostic computer and had the 55c3 transfer case code. Also had a code for the steering angle sensor which showed to be off by 12degrees. cleared both codes started the car drove again codes came right back. car wasnt throwing codes before it was parked. battery seems fine. could the steering being off activate all of this??

Figure out the SAS issue first. DSC and AWD faults can pop up from a faulty SAS. Even if it's not initialized, it will throw DSC and AWD, start-off assist errors.

You can try disconnecting/reconnecting the battery and initializing the SAS by turning your steering wheel lock to lock. If this doesn't work, you most likely need to calibrate the sensor first (which requires BMW diagnostic software such as ISTA), then initialize it.

The TC issue though, I'm not sure about.
