Thumbs up 40k miles on my 2012 335is - Quick report

I only got the car in September of 2012. The original intention was to keep the mileage down by rebuilding my e38 and sharing road duty with that car. However, I never got around to that project so the e38 just sits.

The 335is has DCT, comfort access, HK sound, Sirus etc. There has been no problems so far. At first I thought the car had the beginning of the waste-gate rattle deal and that it would get worse. But if that is indeed what the noise is, its still barely perceptible. Most of the miles are from commuting on the highways of socal and I do push the car when I can, but traffic usually ruins the fun.

I just had the oil changed at about 7k before the 3rd scheduled change and I checked the car out from underneath and found no leaks.

So far the only "mod" has been been the addition of PSS tires, but I plan on upgrading the suspension soon as that seem to be the only real deficiency in the car. The BMW performance suspension seems fine for the intended use of the car so that is what I will probably go with.

Other than that, the car had gotten more responsive and faster as the miles build, the DCT shifts like a sport bike and the economy is not bad either.

Wow, that's a lot of miles per annum. But thanks for positive feedback -- especially around here where every burp is reported.

What do you find lacking in the stock "IS" suspension? I thought it was a little harsh for my tastes so I went with a 335i M-Sport. The only real regret I have (other than not getting comfort access) is that my 335 doesn't have the DCT. The shifting in my car lacks the crispness I desire in a sport coupe.
