Rear Bumper Dings

I rarely take my car to Manhattan but did so last month and some A**hole decided to use my bumper as a curbside parking guide and made several small indentations on my bumper from the bolts of his/hers license plate bracket.I am going to take my car to a BMW certified body shop on Long Island(Habberstad),I will take some before and after pictures provided he can do that repair.:loco :

Don't feel alone. Someone backed into my new 335i, did significant paint damage, and left the scene before my license plates had even arrived from the DMV.

Sorry to hear that.

I probably would have bought my car from Habberstad (I live in Northport), but Oyster Bay had a 2011 328xi with a manual transmission and nobody else had one within a 300 mile radius. Both dealerships are solid.

It's good to see a fellow Long Islander on here.

they look goofy as hell, and i hate to use them, but living in manhattan, this is a must:

it barely fits into the trunk of my F30, but its a must for when i'm not parking in the garage. people in NYC touch park....

I think hanging a blanket like the type that come with UHaul moving trucks out the back of the trunk would be sufficient to prevent the scuffs and license plate dings you're talking about, and it fits in the trunk nicely!

I see these all over Manhattan. They do look very goofy but I can see why they are popular.

I was in NYC last weekend. Left the car in upstate NY and took the train down. Much less hassle. As a bonus, you can sober up on the train ride back before having to drive.

I finished my undergraduate work and went to grad school at Queens College. I used to live at the end of 162nd Street, over by the LIRR Broadway Station. That was a long time ago.

My buddy started at Rikers as a CO when he was just a kid. They paid for his education and he worked his way up to a judge within Rikers. Like you, he is always appreciative of honest, kind people as he spent the majority of his life surrounded by conniving, deceitful, untrustworthy criminals of the worst kind. It is a tough life and adjusting to retirement was hard for him. He is back working for a private prison in Queens. The inmates are all rats who cooperated with the Feds and expect to be treated like princes because of it. He is having a tough time adjusting to this as well.

You definitely chose a tough career. I hope you are adjusting well and enjoying yourself. You deserve it! Thanks for your service.
