gas pedal removal??

any pointers on how to get this thing out? I cannot find any info on my style pedal for the e38. In the middle of doing a carpet swap

To remove the gas pedal , grab a dentist type mirror & look down at the floor behind the gas pedal. You'll see 2 tabs that need to be pulled down towards the front of the car, towards the floor. Once they are released, there are still little tabs holding the pedal in place. Try to find a wide "J" hook pry bar (wide as in around 2 inches wide) under the front of the pedal at the floor & pry up slowly. It is a PITA to get off, and you're working in an awkward position.
