Thinking of buying Used Car

Hi BMW Enthusiasm,
i am new to here. So i was looking to buy 2006 (330i) , 2007 ( 328i ) or 2008 (335i)[ heard alot problem for 335i for fuel pump ] Anyw, i was used to drive a 07 328i , unfortunately, i was involved in a hit and run accident. it hits on my rear door and axle. I am thinking to get a used parts to repair it and sell it. At the same time, im looking to buy a pre-owned car.
These are my few question.
1] Which car [2006 (330i) , 2007 ( 328i ) or 2008 (335i) ] has better transmission and throttle response? What i mean is when you change your gear from Parking to D, how long does it takes to respond.
2] Which car is more reliable?
3] Tips to buy a used car , what to look for ? and how?
4] coupe or sedan? ( i heard coupe is hard to drive as in obstruct view ( blind spot)
5] 335i does it still offers the fuel pump warrant for 10 years? and which year has it solved?
Sorry for too many question but i do appreciate all your time to give me your best answer.

Thank you!
Zack

Sorry about your current car.

1) I don't understand your question... One thing I will say is that personally I like the ZF transmission in the 06 better than the GM of later years.
2) The simpler the mechanics, typically the better for reliability. Obviously attaching turbos to an engine increases the number of things that can go wrong.
3) PPI... Enough said
4) That's your choice. I have less problems with visibility in the coupe because I have the seat all the way back and the B-pillar is further back.
5) Ask the dealer to give you details on the HPFP warranty and ask to see service records if it was serviced.

Let's see.....
  1. You have a damaged ride
  2. You want to fix damaged ride
  3. You want to sell damaged ride so you don't have to deal with the damage
  4. You want to buy a used car

I can but hope Karmic return is yours.

Not at all - but all too often a used car is a damaged car - buyer takes on sellers issues. Unmentioned issues. Issues seller won't disclose, as that would kill a profitable deal.

Hmmmm....yup, Karma applies, any way it's played.

Th 06 is a great car. I bought a CPO 330 with 42k and had it until 55k. My friend bought it from me and it now has 120k with no problems. FYI, his wife treats it like crap and neglects. And it still has no problems at all. Other than tires and rims because of what I mentioned above. Good luck on whichever you choose.
