Pay by self or insurance

So, had a bit of a fender scratch on black pain. No dents. Just lots of scraped paint on the real bumper.

Need some advice on whether I should file insurance claim ($500 deduct + rate going up?) or just pay for it myself to the other party. Need to decide tonight and don't have a body shop open now to get an estimate. Any rough estimate (low hundreds of $, high hundreds, low thousands?) would be deeply appreciated! I've never dealt with a body shop in my 10 years in the US.

Honestly that looks like it could be buffed right out by a detailer. Shouldn't cost much at all.

I'm having my hood repainted and a section of clear bra replaced for $500. My insurance company won't be involved.
