Extended Factory Warranty Pricing

I will be getting my 2014 X5 M Sport, 3L gas next week and need to decide on buying an extended warranty. I was quoted $4,670 for 6 yr/100K miles for the Platinum Plan. They would not give me a discount. It is my understanding that you don't have to buy the warranty from the same dealer where you buy the vehicle.

I don't want to pay $4,670. Anyone got a better quote? Any suggestions on how I can get a better deal?

Extended Factory Warranty Pricing

You can buy the warranty at any dealer in the country and the average price I see is around $3,000.

Extended Factory Warranty Pricing

According to the SA I have frequented it is dependent on how close you are to being out of warranty both on time and mileage. I think I was quoted ~$2500 for the most comprehensive extended warranty on a 550GT with a few days over 1 yr remaining and less than 18k on the odometer.

Oops, just noticed your statement...definitely doesn't make sense it is that high. Get to know a service advisor, sales always are trying to extract as much as possible.

Email the guys at Pacific BMW. All the research I've done on this site points to these guys as the leader in price. I think it is $300 over invoice. Prices for the F15 listed below that i was provided. See if your local dealer will match if you don't want to coordinate. Prices are good up to 10k miles so you technically do not need to purchase at the time of sale just before 10k m to keep the pricing.
