Its that Vanity Plates are dumb "Look At Me" things.

But that's just me. I like the sleeper fade into the background look with just a few personal touches.

Depends on your age. As I get older and hit mid life crisis intend to spend $$$$ on cars with 400+ hp and vanity plates if you are younger it looks dumb to you otherwise entertaining makes you feel better!

I like vanity plates that express your individuality. Something classy.
Not some "look at me!" comment, or anything tacky.

I was on the fence for months about whether or not to get them for myself, and I did.

Mine read: 30NE2.
Most people don't get it. But those who do are spot on, and they actually get excited about it. Can you figure it out? Hint: I'm from Chicago.

"Cleaver" LOL

The only vanity plates that I think are OK are ones that make me laugh.

I think it really depends but I do like the di35el.

I have a vanity plate too and only a few people on the road will understand it - and that's the point.

Mine is EURODLV

When I was a little kid, my (then unmarried) uncle drove a Camaro Z28.
He was out of town one week, so my grandmother took his car and used it to run errands.

Grandma was telling the story about one of the first days she had the car...nearly everyone behind her in traffic would honk at her, then pass...often making gestures. She couldn't figure it out, but it kept happening everywhere she went.
Puzzled, she inspected the back of the car to see if there was a tail light out or something else, prompting everyone to honk. It was then when she noticed the bumper sticker: "Honk if you're h0rny"

In Grandma's 85 years, she would still say this was probably her most embarrassing moment...

I think I'm going with DI35EL, it's not a "Hey Look At Me" nor a "Mid-Life Crisis", which is my favorite Faith No More song. I don't take offense... everyone has their own opinion. It is really defining the 335(d). I get asked two to Four times a day... "What does the d stand for? I've never seen that before." Also, every single time, "Who would want diesel? It's so expensive." I just keep it to myself and think... keep your 18 Average MPG at $3.63 Per Gallon (Premium) and I'll take my 32 Average MPG at $3.80 Per Gallon Diesel. NH pricing, before I get slammed on the math.
