Music Collection Backup; BR5ís to WAV's; Organization Q

Iíve used this great thread to convert BR5ís to WAV's:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=279294

But Iíd appreciate any help organizing / recognizing everything.

Also, when I put everything back onto my car, is there any way for the Music Collection to be 3 levels deep, where the first level would be artist folders, the second level would be album folders, followed by the tracks...?

Thanks!

BR5 is WMA, so if you still have access to the files from the iDrive, I would change them to .wma via a utility like the one on e90post post=14837885. It does not re-encode the files, it simply makes a minor change to the file and renames it to a .wma extension so you won't lose quality(which is already pretty low at 128k). That utility also names the files using artist and title so you can recognize them. By converting to .wav, you lost any tags like artist/album etc. and created files that are much bigger than they need to be.
Once the conversion is done, the you can put them on a USB drive with whatever folder structure you want, then import them into iDrive.

Is there any way to retain tracks in the order they are on a CD without having their "Track Number" show (as if you were playing from a CD, where when playing from a CD you don't see track numbers)?

For example: Artist Name / Album Name / Track Name

NOT: Artist Name / Album Name / Track Number - Track Name

Unfortunately, when I set the structure as: Artist Name / Album Name / Track Name, the tracks end up being in alphabetical order, not by track number!?

I'm using Media Monkey.

Thanks.

Just build a playlist and put the songs in the order they are on the CD.

If I understand you correctly, because the track number is in the TAG, it displays. I generally don't put the track number anywhere in the TAG, and so when they play, you don't see it displayed as part of the TAG. I use MP3TAG, and one can choose whether to put the track # in the TAG. I chose not to. However, I do put the track # in the filename, and that's the order it gets played.

Here is an example, snipped from MP3TAG. You can see the filename HAS the track #, the TAG Title does not. Filename determines order of play, Title is displayed.
