2010 335i not covered by HPFP warranty in Canada

I saw a low-mileage 335i locally but when I called BMW Canada and gave them the VIN they said it was due for a battery cable recall but nothing else. When I asked them if the car qualified for the HPFP 10-year warranty they said NO.

Anyone experience this? I'm wondering if I should stay away from the car now.

I can't imagine that the Canada recall would be VIN specific, but you're not the first to report that BMW Canada has either claimed no knowledge of the recall, or been denied.

Yes, BMW Canada issued an "emissions" recall letter in January of 2011, referring to their campaign number ECR-B0001-10-001. 2010 335is are certainly covered.

I was unable to download the pdf document, but it's in here:
