Lighting Package-Add after the fact?

I have been searching high and low for a 2009-2011 6 speed 328i RWD sedan sport. I have found a few cars with the M Sport package, sans lighting, but it seems to be damn near impossible to find a 6 speed RWD car with lighting package. I think I would prefer to have the lighting package than sport, but even that is difficult to find.

Can you add the HIDs and projectors after the fact? or would it be difficult to swap the lights and have them programmed to the vehicle or some goofyness like what I just encountered with my E60's battery and having to have the new one programmed? I am not down with swapping HIDs into the halogen reflector housing so that idea is out of the question. Both my current BMWs as well as the G37 the car would replace all have HIDs with projectors so I would really like to not give that up. It seems not a lot of people ordered the E90s with the HIDs (seems silly to me... the package wasn't that expensive of an add-on) when new...

What are some solutions? Just keep searching for a car with lighting package?

No, not unless you want to spend 4k to retrofit. My advice, don't settle, the one you want will show up at the right time. I'm currently searching for a coupe and it's hard to find one.

The 335i's all have the lighting package. And most of the coupes, if not all, have the lighting package.

lol it won't be $4000. It's not cheap but, not 4k.

I don't really want a 335i, but people who bought 328is new definitely didn't add many options.... Just have to stay on the hunt I guess.
