325xiT Sub/Amp Setup Questions

Hey guys!

Loving my 2006 325xi Touring and I was planning on, at a later date, installing a subwoofer in the cargo area.
I've read through posts and it seems that Technic's harness is the best way to go about doing this, but my car has the "HiFi System Professional DSP" and I'm not too sure if it requires recoding or additional upgrades to setup the subwoofer/amp.

I'm interested in the Infinity Kappa One amp and Kappa 120.9w 12 inch subwoofer, but any other suggestions would be awesome.
I'd really appreciate the community's input on decent setups, installation tips/difficulties and any other recommendations!

Sorry for posting in the wrong section!

Thanks! I see you have a 325xi wagon, have you done any additions in the sound department? I'll probably be doing the installation myself and if it's worth swapping out the stock amp plus a sub/mono amp then I think I'm willing to shell out the additional cash.

I sent you a PM with tons of info

I sent you a PM with tons of info including my install procedure
for a 325 wagon with a VP kit . I started with a Hi Fi though not a
top Hi Fi L7.
You shouldn't be sorry that was a different forum that is e90 stereo specific.
L7 amp is kind of a pain as you have to reprogram the head unit for analog
output and buy a different Technic harness or use a mobridge da2 preamp as its the only thing that will tranlate the fiberoptic link between the head unit and amp to useable analog pre out signals.
Also to fully replace it you need 9 channels of amplifier.

I tapped the sub channels off my L7 amp and used a LOC to convert the signal. If you're just adding a sub, recoding the HU or even using a summing module is extreme overkill.
