I just had my 328i's cooling system serviced at S & V 344 E Foothill Blvd Ste D
Pomona, CA 91767

They do great work at reasonable prices. My guess is that they could advise you.

I did my own transmission service at 60K. I drained the pan, replaced the transmission filter and pan gasket then refilled it with Redline DT-6. Now have 80K on transmission with no issues.

The text of the error messages says that the interlock of brake and transmission has failed. It may not require transmission work but some electrical checking of switches and wiring.

Do your brake lights work when the pedal is depressed? That's where I would start looking.
