Lifetime SMG Warranty?

I found a 2004 M3 w/SMG and 85,000 miles on the clock for a reasonable price. I have been avoiding the SMG, but this dealer has offered to warranty the power train for as long as I own the car. I'm reading through the fine print, but if anyone has feedback about what is most likely to fail with this transmission I will follow up in writing with the dealer specifically asking if said parts would be covered by the warranty.

Thanks. This car would replace my E39 M5.

If it includes all the parts associated with the SMG such as relays, pumps and sensors then it sounds like a great deal. Assuming the dealer is qualified to work on it (you didn't mention if its a BMW dealer.) If the warranty covers only the actual transmission, then its not worth much. The actual transmissions don't seem to be failing, its all the other related stuff.
