Help In Indianapolis

Ok folks. Sad day here. My mother just picked her 335i AW hardtop convertible from the Performance Center last Monday.

Just today a week old in her possession, and an old senile woman who had no business driving backed out of her parking space with a line of traffic behind her waiting for pedestrians.

The woman backed directly into my mothers right passenger door.

I'm including pictures of the damage. Now, clearly we want the work done by a BMW CCRC, however BMW USA website doesn't show that there is one.

However especially being a brand new hardtop convertible that could develop a leak we want OEM parts and BMW CCRC doing the work.

Can anyone tell us where we should send the car??Click image for larger version

I'm absolutely gutted for my mother right now... It still has the dealer plate on it.

What are the chances the damage done here effects anything besides that door?

Help In Indianapolis

First off, sorry to hear about the accident. Secondly, I would search around your area and make a few calls, and ask about a recommended/reuptable repair shop

I have used Performance Collision Center in Zionsville a couple of times and they did excellent work. They also will use BMW OEM parts for any necessary repairs. I believe they are Dreyer & Reinbold BMW's preferred body shop.

Do you know if they are a BMW Certified Collision repair center? According to The BMWUSA website, they don't show up. However, I appreciate the recommendation!

No, I don't know as I never thought to ask. I do know that the local BMW dealer sends their own cars to Performance Collision for repair and that they referred me to Performance Collision when I called them for a recommendation.

Thanks... It appears that they are certified. My mother had the woman admit complete fault and the car is going to be fixed by their insurance who will be reimbursed by the peeps insurance. They are hoping to get the door entirely replaced. We shall see. Thanks all!

I would tell the shop to replace the entire door and thats all you will accept. The other persons insurance might bitch. Also tell them they need to provide you a rental car too
