Strut Mount Differences

I got my coil overs installed. I am just about 0.5" lower than sports height, yet I feel like I have way too little shock travel left, even with E36M3 bump stops.

After looking further in to it, I realized that there could be different versions for front strut mounts and one could be shorter than the other.

I replaced mine with part #31306775098 and they seemed way taller than what came off of my 08 Non-sport E90. It COULD be due to them being worn off, but I really doubt.

I realized there is another part #31336760943, which, these guys say is inferior to above:

Can we use M3 mounts? Are they shorter? I am trying to get shock travel however way I can....
