1993 325is Window problems

I've repaired the regulator and replaced the window motor. The widow will not operate when the motor is running. I have gone through the initialization process described in the Bently manual with no success. This is a driver's side window. Please help.

How did you initialize it if it won't work?

Whaa??????????????????? That makes zero sense. It can't "work" if the motor isn't running, and you cannot initialize the window if the motor doesn't operate it up and down.

Re: 1993 325is Window problems

Let me try to understand - you mean the window functions normally when the car engine is not running, but when the car engine is running the window does not work?

Good illustration of why you use "motor" for electrical stuff, and "engine" for the internal combustion beastie under the hood.
