Exclamation Came back to BMW!

I just got rid of my 2004 Mach 1 mustang with 400hp and got a 07 328i. I've had a 04 325 a few years back and missed the luxury. I was surprised by the acceleration the 328 has. Now I'm looking to get some starter upgrades for it. Already have nice 18 inch tr3 wheels on it. I'm looking to put a good intake, exhaust and lowering springs on it now.

Anybody have any recommendations for parts. I am a police officer so I do not have a huge budget for upgrades but also will not put cheap parts on my car. Any responses are greatly appreciated thank you

If your looking for horsepower you will only get marginal increase. There s not much you can to increase the horsepower, but what you could do is put angel eyes, it looks good on all bmw and its cheap as well

Not looking to up hp any. Just want it to look and sound like a nice 3 series. Make some tweaks here and there to make the car more unique to me

That sounds like a lot more than I want to do. I think some simple mods to keep the car classy. A nice 2 inch drop is exactly what I want. I had tein s type springs on my mach and was very very happy with it. I'm thinking about getting some tein's for the beamer

I'm trying to make my car lighter by adding various carbon fiber parts.

It's your money but IMO I wouldn't buy an 1/8 of the stuff you want to buy for your 328.

If it were mine I'd just lower the stance and change out the wheels maybe.
Don't waste your money on performance mods and trying to get it lighter, just not worth it.

Performance can be dramatically improved! But not as power - we're talking drivetrain and suspension mods. Don't believe me? Drive M3 - you can have that.

Go for coil-overs, mine are Ground control and I like em fine. You'll be able to dial in ride height exactly how you want.

Go for the BMW Performance Exhaust, I love the sounds my weak little 3 series makes. Sure, it's a kitten roaring like it's a (very well behaved) tiger, but I like it.

Just do a carbon delete with a highflow filter for your stock intake. After market intake for these cars don't perform much better than that if at all and some are even worse for you.

Do a 3-stage intake manifold swap and a tune. In your case it might just be add a disa and get the tune. Think the 328i can gain about 20+ HP from this and the tune will make it feel even more than that. Get rid of hestations from the throttle and such.

When you are ready, redo the suspension to M3 cause there is really not much you can do to the motor to get more HP. Maybe that's a good thing, because you will hit the ceiling fast on upgrades (SANE) for this car and then you'll just have to find something us to throw money at.

And it's Bimmer or Beemer (motorcycles), not Beamer.

I thought police have a annual salary of $75k? I've seen some recruitments ads and the starting salary is $75k here in CA

Maybe he's smart enough not to throw money into a depreciating asset (;

Shoot son I'm in North Carolina... Starting average is 32k here. Of course cost of living is much cheaper than ca..

And I'll spend money on my car to make it unique. Every car depreciates in value. Im not going to make this thing into a race car or show car but I do want it to turn heads at least
