Learning my way around 2011 335i. Basic function question.

Can someone explain what the function of this button is for and when to use it. The manual it is not very clear.

I also get the same symbol on the dash display as what appears as a warning when I first start the car.

Attachment 411607

Thanks

Button?

What button?

No button. Your attachment link is dead.

Try this: Push the button. What happens or does not happen? Are you happy with the result?

Try this: Look HERE - do you see the icon? Which is it? How does it apply?

If the same light pops up when ignition is switched, you're most likely referring to the dtc button.

I can't remember the when dtc or dsc is on or off but pressing the button momentarily will allow some wheel spin. Holding the button for 3- seconds allows for unlimited wheel spin.

I've gotten the snowflake.

I thought the car was awfully smart to predict snow. BMW's are intelligent weather predictors?

Turns out it is a black ice predictor. Still pretty smart.

Yes the attachment was suppose to be the snow flake. I have since figured it out and realze its a pretty popular and ridiculous question. Texans are usually confused with colder weather. To bad the manual is not clear. Anyway good to know people on this site are paying attention.

Don't worry, this is probably one of the most common questions this time of year.
