E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

Need help! E30 swap with V8 M60B30

hello there. I have a v8 3 L M60B30 from an e34 bmw... I have the entire car in parts and i would like to swap all of it in my 4 door e30! My question is will the e34 driveshaft fit in my 1987 325 car (e30)?

i believe no. e34 had a longer wheelbase. might send a pm to garagistic. theyve done the v8 swap and have kits to make the swap easier

Also, a reputable driveshaft shop can make you a driveshaft from 200 to 300 bucks. I also believe the e34 driveshafts have different u joint flanges and uses a larger guibo I believe.

im not sure for the v8s but im currently swapping the E34 m50 power train into my e30. yes the driveshaft is longer but the transmission itself is super short. like much shorter than the auto trans i had originally

The answer is it depends on the tranny and you wont know till you swap it. also the input flanges on the diff will be different and you will need to swap those over.
