Custom handgun housing for center console...

I recently had this custom made for my center console, it's laser cut to house my glock 17. I think it turned out pretty well.

Because I like to keep one of my full size guns in the console, I usually carry a smaller one that's easier to conceal on my person. And because it looks cool. I have a carry permit of course...

Even with a concealed carry permit I thought it was required to have a locked storage box when crossing into states where your permit is not valid. Can you lock the console?

I'm a federally licensed gun dealer, and I have a carry permit in my state. I don't carry a gun because I'm scared, I carry a gun for the same reason I keep a fire extinguisher in my house. I would rather have one, and not need it, than not have it, and need it.

Awesome! Is it a hard plastic cut-out that glock sells or is it a foam that you cut yourself?

My States's permit is honored by:
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

The only states/cities that don't honor my permit are:
California, Connecticut,Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, District of Columbia,

If I were to travel to one of the 12 states/cities above. I wouldn't be driving my car anyway, I would be taking a plane, in which case I would leave my gun at home.

Thanks!

This is a custom set up that I had professionally cut out of foam, my console was scanned into a 3d scanner so that the exact dimensions could be used to create this insert..

I think it's pretty cool, but you can also have one of these in your back seat, instead:

Or one of these:

I'm in the gun business, and a guy that I know works at a company that makes industrial foam packaging components. Long story short, I had him make me this as a one off custom deal, they scanned my center console into a 3d scanner to get the inner dimensions and everything. I might be able to help you get one , but it isn't cheap. Pm me if you would like more details.
