m4 rev matching feature question

The new M3/M4 specs say "The new 6-speed manual has an automatic setting for downshift rev-matching." I have a e92/N54 for daily driving and do not track. I don't rev match in my daily spirited driving. Basically giving the gas pedal a blip before down shifting. Will the M4 automatically do the blip when down shifting ? Will this blip be audible or is this something that will happen quietly under the hood since the computer is rev matching and if I am driving normally and down shifting at the right speed then I should not hear any blip right ? What if I just shift into neutral and come to a rolling stop ? Not clear on how this works.. but sounds cool and wish my e92 did that. Does anyone have some info on this ? Thanks

um, go drive a new vette, it does this. Better yet, just opt for the DCT.

I'd rather master it on my own, than to have some sensors in the transmission deciding what to do, like blueskye said, may as well get an automanual instead. Nissan has had this for years in the Z series, most don't care for it.

Sound obtrusive,...but then again I'm not a big fan of LC either or cars that park themselves for that matter or even those Google self driving cars! I'll stop now.

Yea I don't get why they would have rev matching downshifts on the 6spd manual when heel and toe downshifting is so much fun.
