'01 X5 Service/Repair Manual

Anyone know of a good '01 X5 service/repair manual for the do-it-yourselfer? Called Haynes, they don't have one. Chilton manual for '01 SUV's says it includes the X5 (among several others). Ordered it and was very dissappointed in the coverage.

what do you need? bmw service is not found in any books anymore.. you can get the TIS and ETK on cd from the dealer, or you can go to bmwtis.com and signup for a subscription.

alternatively, you can go to www.x5world.com for some diy writeups. if its not there, you can ask the board and some of us will walk you through it or find more info for you.

Exactly!! Also, another cheap source for the ETK and TIS is eBay.

Provided that they sell you the latest version. I bought a ETK/TIS set of CD's this summer and the seller claimed it included up to 2004 data. When I received the CD's, it was dated 2001 (both of them). After a few e-mails, I got my money refunded

So, the point is, make sure you know what you are buying because there are many crooks on eBay today.
