Throttle body swap

How much hp would you get if you put a throttle body off of a 325i on to my 325e. The 325i throttles boby is like twice as big and it will bolt right on.

Not a lot... if you already have one, I'd put it on to increase the throttle response. Otherwise, save your money for more important things.

Throttle body swap

Again, pretty much no horsepower gain if you do that. Most people just put on a CAI for the faint sucking air sound it makes. I think it's too much labor trouble for the actual gain, which is pretty much nothing.

What you need is the whole head from a 325i ,then your headed in the right direction. If you do that you really need to use the later fuel injection/ECU as well. The heads on BMWs flow so well it's almost pointless to port and polish them unless your building a full race motor. So there's not much you can do to increase air flow with out adding forced induction, and if you do that you better fortify your motor ,at least if you want to have it stay together for more than a week.

in order to make it worth while, you gotta change the head, intake and exhaust manifold and ecu over to the i/s.

or put a 4.10 diff in

IIRC it was for the iX to help make up for the extra weight off the line.

Your trade off will be higher RPMs on the interstate.

The 'e' head has smaller valves than the 'i' head and the ecu is different (IIRC). Block is the same. Again, IIRC, the 325e is really 2.7 but made as a high torque low rever??
