iDrive - anyone knows the saved buttons?!?

Hi!

Something I can't understand, so maybe someone can help please:

When you lay your finger on any of the numbers/buttons below CD slot, it displays an address on yhe screen and when you press it, it starts the navigation to that address.

But they are some old addresses from the dealership. How can I change them? And what else can I store there, any other preferences?

Thanks very much!

You can store pretty much anything from radio stations, to addresses, to functions....I found that just holding that button down will store the new thing, for example a radio station...to store new navigation instructions i did sometimes have to erase the button, and then store....there are instructions on how to erase a button in the manua

Hi

Thanks. I figured out stpring stations there. But the first two buttons are navi addresses, so no matter if I press or press-and-hold, either way it starts the navigation route..
Do you remember how to erase the buttons by any chance?
(Otherwise I'll have to dig into the books I guess )

Helpful hint:

Navigate to the option you want with the iDrive controller, such as trip information, but don't click on it, just highlight it.

Now press and hold one of the 1-8 buttons on the dash for a couple of seconds, until you hear a beep. That button will now do whatever it is you were highlighting- from anywhere in the iDrive screens.

With your home address, for example, navigate to Recent Destinations, highlight your home address, and press/hold a 1-8 button.

For radio stations, navigate to Radio Presets and highlight the station on that list as it'll set your HUD in the Preset list.
