Fresh dents on the engine hood, what could be the cause?

Parked at home apartment building and just found these dents when going out for dinner... I didn't see them yesterday or remember anything drop on it. I have been really careful... I am left wondering if someone did this but there are so many much better cars in the garage...

Any idea? Best place to get it fixed? So sad...

The weather is chill this time o'year, even in San Jose. A town once much given to farming, there are still some steers around....

There are actually four small dents in the photo. They don't seem like from road rocks...

Paintless dent repair should be able to handle it.

Looks to me like something is bouncing off your hood. I suppose you can buy a car cover and put it on every night if you have the patience. some

Yea. Hard to imagine what actually bounced off it. The parking garage is both secured and indoor. It parks a couple hundred of cars. I have yet seen a car using a car cover.

Only video cameras on the entrance. They will check the taping but it is unlikely to find anything.

It could happen somewhere else, but I didn't notice it when I parked the car. I hope the video taping could at least verify if the car got the dents before entry or after.

I always try to park my 335 in parking lots where I know the cameras are, just in case of car door dings, because if someone dings your car and leaves without leaving a note its considered Hit and run

They are not from road debris. Now that we see it close up, there is no doubt: Goat Sign.

But how, in a controlled access garage? cccxyz, a vengeful woman has danced on your ride!

Simple case for dent repair at 100-150 bucks. I had both doors with multiple small dings on Z3 and a dent in hood done for 150 on site at my office.

Did you notice them both appearing the same time? It really looks like vandalism to me.

Paintless dent repair guys are really good these days. I can't believe the 3 dings I had removed on the E90 I just picked up. GONE. (none as bad as yours though, sorry)

They appeared the same time. Worse, if it was vandalism, it was likely at my apartment garage...

Hope the dent repair can take them out. I will probably ask the dealer for a referral to a good shop. Any recommendation near the south bay area?

Cleats? I have a friend who has dents from kids skateboarding across her hood.

That's a PDR job for sure, but don't fool yourself, that's man-made. I lived in California, Santa Cruz actually and tbh I can't remember many people from San Jose that I ever liked. People are so awesome!

Yup truth hurts. The only time my car was parked in NYC for longer than a day I got keyed... People sucks, esp new-yorkers.
