325xi can't start up

So I'm on vacation and I stall out at the hotel going up a hill and my 325xi manual 2006 won't start back up. Jump starting didnt work but we were able to bump start/jump the clutch and drive around fine. The engine doesn't crank and all you hear is a slight click when you try to key start it but all lights/radio works. My question is that is this a for sure sign my starter is busted or could their be other culprits? I've never had problems that would of indicated starter problems in the past; any chance this is electrical like a weak battery or blown fuse? I have to drive home and I'm evaluating if I should bring it in here where I'm on vacation or bump jump it home and take it to a local mechanic.

Battery Voltage is the first thing to check

Battery Voltage is the first thing to check
If you are on your original battery an its and 06 0r 07 you
are due for one.
A good battery should measure around 12.5.
And your running voltage should be around 14.5
Also the IBS (infernal battery system its suppose to be
the intelligent battery system ) can cause strange symtoms.
These cars don't jump easily by the way.
I always feel better getting things worked on at home
where I know the mechanics and there reputations plus if there
is something wrong with the repair I have some place that
might rectify the problem.
Also if you do a battery replacement do not use battery back up
especially through the OBD port it will blow a fuse and the symptom
is no Dash display or readings . And if somebody else does it make sure they know
this.
