E92 Replace Brakepads

Hey guys,

Have been driving my 2009 328Xi Coupe for 4 years now and never had any complaints. It started alerting me this morning that my Brakepads needs to be replaced. I am done with my initial warranty period as we'll and didn't purchase any new warranty as I am planning to sell this car. Any clue Howe much will it cost to buy and replace brakepads if I approach a good mechanic in my area. Do they charge for parts and labor Or do we need to purchase parts and they bill for labor?
Please help.

No more than a few hundred for parts if you replace both pads and rotors. DIYing is easy, if you're confident enough to do so.

Fwiw, many shops don't like customers sourcing their own parts... Both because they can charge a bit more for them and also because they usually won't stand behind them if they fail.

Thanks a ton for your reply. I am not confident with DIY, I will opt for a mechanic. Friend if mine owns a gas station and he is referring me to a good mechanic. Just wanted to have an idea about costs.

You can reference our site for pricing to give you an idea of parts cost, HERE is a link to the E92 braking section. Labor will depend on the shop, typically brake jobs are not too overly costly.

Best of luck
