just snatched up an m3 for $500 bucks!

i sold my last BMW a couple years ago and i have been itching to get another since. So i have been driving by this one for a year now but had no cash . finally my damn grand prix got totaled with this last snow storm so i stop and asked and he sold it to me on the spot . its a 1995 dakar yellow 5 speed . I almost passed out when he told me the price. So with that said im back . i will post some pics Saturday when im off work.

That is one crazy deal! Congrats man! Enjoy your car! But please get it inspected, if you haven't done so already...and make sure everything is in order and it is safe to drive in.

In any case...enjoy!

Hard to believe that it's an M3 for that price. What are the first 4 letters of the VIN?

Are you sure its not a typo? I would think that you actually paid $5000 not $500. The new parts alone are worth more than $500.

Well, congrats. You struck gold.

Just keep in mind, as the ol' man Ken says, "There is nothing more expensive than a cheap BMW".

Congrats man, you lucky man. Wonder what made him sell it for so cheap. But all aside, even when a "cheap" bmw ends up not being cheap hope it won't give you major problems. Get it up to maintenance if its not and it should serve you well. I know mine is, after I got mine I serviced it before putting it on the road, just replaced cooling system recently too and saving for suspension refresh, all expenses now are just bling.

With the praise of a good deal, comes the agony of the catch - what's wrong with it?

right now the hood wont open the cable broke and it has some rust on the rear tail panel , with all that said ill have about 500 bucks in repairs . At least that's the estimates i have got so far. Mechanically everything is perfect and it has had a new radiator put in as well as water pump and some other odds and ends , i have a stack of receipts. The guys wife told him that if he wasn't going to drive it , sell it . I just happened to knock on the door at the right time .

WOW, I really hope I find a deal like this someday. Hell if he said that to me, I'd give him double that for no reason. Lol
