Orange M3

Just purchased first BMW, after years of Mercedes AMGs.

Any information I should know about this beast?

Don't worry about it

www.M3Post.com is a better bet.

I have an M3 and come here to hang out with the little people so I can read about how their tune makes their 335i faster in a straight line.

There's a special forum dedicated to the M models. This is the normal 3 series forum. (Although you can post here if you want. I don't seen an issue.)

Very nice, it would be neat to see what it looked like with a color matched hood.

Looks like a carbon fiber hood, I'd keep it.
Nice pic BTW!

Congrats, it's a nice beast ... personally I'd paint the hood, just to bring out the grill visually, but it's also a shame to cover up the weave.

It is faster that's why I have gone through with replacing the useless V8 with the N55. Now I have speed, fuel economy and handling....the ultimate M3/3-series.

OP, congrats and welcome to the forum. I have a lot of respective for AMG cars. If you find the need for more HP and torque, consider a supercharger. There are several vendors who offer systems (search is your friend). Otherwise to increase power while keeping it NA would be via test pipes or x-pipe and a tune.

Indeed, AMG's are wonderful machines but this M3 drives and handles so much better. Supercharger you say hhmmmmmm….I have a Camaro ZL-1 that is built 730 rwhp so I am not sure if that is what I am after.
How about lowering it? I wonder if that compromises anything?
Thanks for the Welcome!
