Recent e93 mods

Hey guys! I purchased my e93 in November and recently I've been busy modding it. So far I've had the windows tinted 20% all around including the windshield strip. However, I have to take it back soon because there are a lot of white spots on the rear window and both backseat windows. And, I've had some issues with the tint sticking to the dot matrix. I've also replaced the matte black steering wheel cover that was peeling with a gloss black one, I replaced the faded start/stop button as well with a new one. And, I bought a valentine one radar detector, plus a blend mount kit and hardwired my v1. I ended up having to replace my CCC unit because it was malfunctioning which costed about $1075 for the unit and reprogramming it at the BMW dealership. So, far I think I'm done with the mods. Also, I considered having my style 230 wheels painted gloss black but I'm not sure about that one.

You caught the mod bug quick. Where did you get glossy trim for the steering wheel?

I highly recommend one more: the SmartTop for the E93. It allows a lot of extra functionality, like one-touch roof control from either the central switch or fob, separate window control with the fob, automatically unlocking the doors if you auto-lock them, etc.

You can scroll down the page I linked to see all the functions. Fairly easy install nowadays, and it's the one mod that many E93 owners consider to be must-have.

Tint? You call these mods?

There are far more important things to do....

I installed same years ago - forgot I had it, operation is so natural and expected.

Yeah it didn't take too long for me to start modding. That's what I love about BMW's, it's like an obsession. But anyway I found the the gloss black steering wheel cover on BMW of South Atlanta's website for $96.55 but I ordered it from www.bmwmercedesparts.com for $86.90. Be sure to specify that you intentionally ordered this cover because they will email you saying that the correct one is the matte black.

Part number 32300415491
