Got it installed and working today, used it to clear my codes after replacing my seat foam; the coding option is greyed out, guess I need to read through and see how to get that working. So much nicer than the old software!

I used the same com port as before, COM1 for me - but this laptop still has a physical 25 pin port and is not using USB for the connection.

Did you run this in VMWare, or what operating system? I would like to get this running, but it crashed my computer on the last attempt. I downloaded the Rhinegold 3.41 ISTA/D version on Mega. Which version did you use?

Thanks

It's native. It runs on any, it is a little over 9gb. Do not install on a pc that you use daily for personal use, get a pc with descent specs to run this solely then you would not have any issues.

What kind of specs would be needed. This make sense why it crashed my laptop. I have 2 older xp machines that I could possibly use, but I might need to upgrade the ram?

Thanks

What version do you have? Are you able to diagnose and program? And are you using it in a VM Ware?

In ISTA/P You can import VO/FA, You can prepare VO in editor.
Or simply add $ to VO in NCS Expert.
Then recode car

Is it necessary to import, what does it actually do? Maybe its easier to use NCS Expert for programming.

@inspi that is not what I mean, for the individual that is not a computer wizz, a dedicate pc would not have additional software that can cause issues such as virus protection, updates etc.
