Then your max is at odds with your objective. Orions are the brightest and best built, but you're going to fork out a lot more than 50 bucks. I was able to replace mine with 5W LEDs for about $40.

Orions are very good but over priced and the statement that they are the brightest are debateable. I speak from personal experience and have compared a few of these. For your money, try these:
http://www.precision-lightings.com/N...ew.asp?id=1780

They are $70 and I have them in both my e60 and e71. I'm pleased with them. Do a search on ebay, that's the cheapest place I know of at this time.

$70 is not that bad, i thought you were gonna say like $200
As long as they last long and are high quality.

Its that your ride i love the front bumper, i was thinking about getting one my self but would like to know where most people get there parts from. I don't want cheap quality that's all.

for the E60 LCI with xenon headlights, the brightest angel eye are DTEC V7's, here are some sample shots

I have no idea what that means but if its something negative towards my comments, see my pictures above and grow up. Why pay $200 when you can pay $70 and have brighter bulbs that what you're advertising? SMH... There is always one in the bunch.

I see it like this, if you want a year of warranty buy the bulbs from one of the vendors for 200+. If you want the same bulb without the extended warranty buy them off eBay and save yourself money. There are so many AE watts out there and everyone claiming to be the brightest. The only way to get the brightest AE is to have your headlights cut open and have some Orion V4's installed. They will be seen in the daytime with direct sunlight and at night end of story. I am very happy with my 20 watt ebay blubs.

+100

All the DTEC, MTEC, ICE products are just branded versions of the stuff you can get on eBay at twice the price. They will all claim they are the brightest, but none have sufficient data to backup those claims.

Here you go. They definitely are worth it to me vs. the 10 watt craps I got initially, what a waste of money!!!!

You misunderstood my point completely.

#1 - I was responding to ham4864, not you.
# 2 - ham4864 originally stated he was looking to pay $50, then upped that to $70 as "not that bad".
#3 - E92 Lighting then responds with their offering that costs $199.99.
#4 - My response was designed to mock someone suggesting a $200 offering when ham was looking to spend $70.

Zhhhhshh!

Clearly, the best solution to all of these problems is just to get a newer BMW that has an F designation for the chassis. All of those headlights that have angel eyes come stock with excellent LEDs. Will be interesting to see the route all these aftermarket lighting retailers go in a few years as their market shrinks.

our pricing is lower than 199.99, which DTEC's are you referring to?

Google or search eBay for "GP Xtreme 64W." They're similar if not identical.

I've tried these:
GP thunder white bulb, cheapest option if you just want to get rid the yellow look. $15 for the pair shipped but to me it's more purple look than white (never go with 8500K go with 7500K). But why argue when it's only $15.

20-watt Cree (4x Cree XB-D LEDs, each LED produces 114 flux)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261215768159?lpid=82
Some ebay seller sells these as low as $59 shipped(I bought mine last year for $80)

40-watt Cree (8x Cree XT-E LEDs, each LED produces 130flux)
This is DTEC, I can't find it on eBay yet. So go with e-92 ligthing or Umnitza.
FYI, I got mine from Umnitza for $120 shipped (that's for a pair folks), as pre-black friday special. Call Tim see if he still honor that maybe even cheaper now, dollar is strong against Asian currency.

One more thing, the 20-Watt bulbs will fliker at start up but not DTEC, they put in the capacitor in the bulb already to filter out the test signals from LCM module. No flickers on all bulbs when they are on (people confuse this alot).

No questions, DTEC with 8x130 flux vs 4x114 flux is the brightest of all (at this moment), don't argue with me argue with Cree engineer those numbers straight from their spec sheet.

Yes all DTEC, MTEC, blah...bllah.. just rebadge Chinese made bulbs. But they are all well made, at least the ones I bought the 20-watt and 40-watt. Heck iPhone is made in China.
So far I have no problem using it as DRL even in summer
