Lightbulb 2004 530i Navigation System

Dear Forum members:

I own a new 2004 530i, and I am interested in two options:

1) Navigation System

a) Does anybody here know where the best place to buy one at, other than BMW dealer?

b) Also if I have to go the BMW dealer route, does anyone know their cost to add on that Navigation System to by 04 5301?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Exactly. Think Nov and Dec '03 were the only months that were pre-wired for the NAV. Starting Jan '04, it was a working option, so you either ordered it or didn't order it.

Mine was built in Oct '03, no NAV.

Not to dampen your interest...

1. Check out BMW NAV before you buy it.. It does not have look up by zip code, searching for hotels or other locations when dont know the "exact" name of the town is impossible.

2. If your car does not have the wiring needed check out Garmin or other products. It has options that make navigations a dream. Dont know who developed the BMW navigation, but it is primitive (or I have not figured it out dispite reading the manual and asking the dealer multiple times to explain) While it does not look cool for a $50K+ car to have a portable navigation, it is truly functional.
